Argumentative Terms

Argumentative TermsArgumentative terms are words or phrases used in argumentative posts or comments to bring about debate among people. The term is also known as counter-argument or rebuttal. The same rule applies if one person has created a post to make another post to prove that the post is incorrect. The post which has the truth is called as the post with the logic and reason. Such arguments prove the posts to be erroneous and the post which has an incorrect logical foundation is called as argumentative post. This is also popularly known as law students' student-argument. For example, when a teacher makes a lecture to his/her students, the listener who receives the information understands it very well and then questions the lecturer about his/her point of view. If the listener finds the question as improper, he/she should say something like 'Your speech was incorrect'. But if the listener knows the speaker's opinion or feelings towards the topic of discussion and does not think that he/she is being unreasonable, then they should just leave the post without any comment on the speaker's opinion. In business, when a guest finishes his/her style sheet and goes to write a new one, such style sheets are known as guest-style sheet. If the listener who heard the host in the discussion found in the host's argument incorrect, he/she should mention this fact and that the host does not have a valid point of view. This is called as 'Argumentum ad populum' in legal jargon. He/she should also not call the host stupid.Argumentative posts can also be made by a writer of a book and the listener who heard the article should read his/her book and then comment whether the topic is well explained. In court, evidence in a trial is not acceptable unless the evidence is not only relevant but supported by the testimony of the witness. An expert is someone who claims to have expertise in a specific field. If an expert's testimony is not supported by the evidences, the judge will reject t he testimony and will cite the expert's error as the cause of the failure of the evidence.A moderator on a website posts a new post to change the topic of the website. Thus the moderator changes the topic to something else in a good way so that the readers also do not like the topic anymore and leave the site.Homeopaths also use argumentative terms to bring discussion among themselves about the efficacy of their treatment. They make an argument and argue for the effectiveness of their treatment by using very strong arguments. On the other hand, homeopaths believe that illness comes from environmental factors and some common factors are stress, diet, and air pollution. Some of the effects of the homeopathic treatment are fatigue, fatigue due to cold, fever, and respiratory ailments.A person who makes an argument in public should understand the implications of his/her post and should consider whether his/her arguments can bring about debate in society or debate in parliament. When an argument fails to convince others or it gains no sympathy, then the argumentative post is considered as worthless.
